Religious Liberty

John believes that the religious liberties outlined in our U.S. and State Constitutions must be vigorously protected.  He believes that faith-based and religious organizations have the right to participate in the public square.  John defended the Boy Scouts right to freedom of religion and freedom of association under their own guidelines, without facing efforts for force them out of public accommodations.  He has participated in landmark litigation before the Supreme Court of the United States seeking to protect religious symbols in the public square, such as the Ten Commandments, and the use of the phrase, “under God,” in our Pledge of Allegiance.
